Let’s talk about the first game’s world: it’s huge. And everything is connected in some way. There’s ladders, elevators, and cliffsides connecting the world together. And if you have the Master Key, you can open any normal door, which is pretty nifty.

The world still looks really good even from far away. There’s so much detail carefully put everywhere. Hidetaka Miyazaki knew what he was doing when he was developing the game. People have hacked the game before to go out of bounds and are able to see finished landscapes, buildings, and other stuff.
Sometimes, I don’t even wanna play for a while, just stand there and look at the sunrise. It’s all really beautiful to look at. The amount of detail is unmatched to other games that came out in 2011. You can see the crevices in stone walls, footprints in snow, every scale on the dragon, etc. It’s amazing!

And because the world is so big, you can find a lot of items. Some of them are useless things like Rubbish. Worst part is, you can’t sell it for more Souls, but you can drop them. But I like to think most of them are very useful and important. Like the previously mentioned Master Key. Opens all normal doors. This is very helpful because it also helps you rescue a Sorcerer and opens another pathway that acts as a shortcut to the Undead Burg. And if you choose the Master Key as your beginning gift, you can open a gate that blocks the Valley of Drakes as early as level one!

There’s something else these games love: many characters. But we’re not gonna talk about that today. I’m saving that for next time. For now I’m gonna go and eat dinner cuz my mom is about to say my full name!
